Cookbook - Recipes Ingredients
__ 5 slices of white or wheat bread, crust removed (save the crusts for bread crumbs, to put in meatloaf, or throw to the birds)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 F. Roll each bread slice very thin. Brush the melted butter generously over each slice, but reserve some for later. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Stack slices on top of each other. Place a piece of wax paper of the stack. Flatten stack with rolling pin. Remove the wax paper and roll up the stack tightly, lengthwise for small rolls, widthwise for large rolls. Lightly press the end of the bread into the rest of the roll. Cut the roll into six slices. Place the slices on a greased cookie sheet, several inches apart. Drizzle rest of butter over each slice, then sprinkle each one with brown sugar and nuts. Bake for 10 minutes.
Makes six rolls.
