Breadsticks

Ingredients
__ 1 hot dog bun or 1 small long roll or 1 slice of bread, any kind
__ butter or margarine, softened
__ 2 TBS. Parmesan cheese, grated
__ 2 TBS. minced fresh parsley, finely chopped nuts, poppy seeds, or combination of these (optional)
__ garlic salt or garlic powder

Directions
Preheat oven to 250 F. Cut bread into quarters the long way. Butter all sides. Roll in cheese and other topping. Sprinkle with garlic salt or garlic powder, if desired. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake until crisp (about 10 to 15 min.). For sweet breadsticks, omit the cheese and toppings. Bake buttered breadsticks, and roll in brown sugar or cinnamon sugar immediately after taking them out of the oven.
Makes four small breadsticks.
